Review: Ski or Die is one of the best winter sports game I have played - it's fast, addictive and most importantly great fun. Ski or Die is not a typical winter sports game - the game contains five extreme winter sports: Halfpipe, Downhill Blitz, Acro Aerials, Innertube Thrash and Snowball Blast.
Halfpipe is a sport that everyone should know. In Downhill Blitz, you have to ski down a mountain as fast as possible, you can also do jumping-tricks to earn extra points. Acro Aerials is about doing cool jumps from a big ski-jump. Innertube Thrash and Snowball Blast are the most extreme sports in this game. Innertube Thrash's idea is to races down a hill with a innertube, and to pop other competitor's innertube with a knife. This sport has "power-ups" to pickup. In Snowball Blast your simple task is to shoot men who are throwing snowballs at you.
All sports are nearly equally good, but favorite is the Downhill Blitz is the best sport, although it suffers for poor controlling.
The game allows you to practice all these sports and to compete in them against six other players. The multiplayer game (on the same computer, that is) with friends is more fun than playing Ski or Die alone when you only try to get better high scores.

Ski or Die's sound effects are ok. The music is pretty good, compared that it comes out from the PC-speaker. However, the music loops quite often, so it's probably a good idea to turn it off. The game should have sound card support, but it didn't work on my computer.
Ski or Die's graphics are also good, the game really uses 16-color EGA as well as possible. Although, the game's colors could be better - Ski or Die uses lots of bright colors like lime green and purple.

If you're looking for a party-game to play against with your friends, get Ski or die.
