Super Mario Bros 2 Developer: Nintendo Publisher: Nintendo Year: 1988 Rating: 7/10 Review: I am always hearing about how this super mario was not good, because they went away from the main play of the original. Well in my opinion this is what made it good. It went from a fimiluar format and tried something new. It is different from all other mario's before it, and all since. This one is near the top of my list of mario games, if not at the top. The best thing about this game is you can play from many different characters all with different abilities. Mario with his well rounded stats, Lugi with extra high jumping, Toad with his speed, and the princess with her ability to float. Each have their levels they are better for. As with all mario games for the NES you can warp from level to level, but it is much funner if you play it from start to finish. With your ability to pull vegies and throw them at enimies, or just throw enimies at enimies there is more original gameplay in this one then in many games I have played. If you are expecting a normal side scrolling game of mario this one is not for you. But if you want a fun original adventure game that is challenging and fun then get this one. On the paully scale I give this one two thumbs and two big toes up. Review by paully |
