Double Dragon Developer: Technos Publisher: Tradewest Year: 1988 Rating: 9/10 Review: This was the first game i ever owned for my NES and so not only do I like the game play, but I like the sentimental value as well. This game is a side scrolling fight/adventure game. Your woman is kidnapped by the meanie Mr. Big and it is up to you to go get her. But of course Mr. Big's gang is there to stop you. Normaly I am not a big fan of side scrolling action games but this game was very well made. As you go you power up and learn new moves. You can learn to head butt, to jump kick, to elbow, and my personal favorite you can learn to grab the baddies by the hair and knee them in the face, or toss them away. There are plenty of weapons along the way, such as knives, whips, chains, etc. And the best part is you get to beat on women and not feel guilty about it (just kidding!) This game is loads of fun and I remember how happy I was the first time I played it. The two player action on it is great as you and a friend can play and fight at the same time. I highly recommend this game and on the paully scale I give it to thumbs up! Review by paully |
