Castlevania 2 - Simon's Quest Developer: TM Publisher: Konami Year: 1987 Rating: 7/10 Review: I have played all of the castlevania games on the NES but this is the only one I really enjoy, and the only one I have beaten. I am not a big fan of side scrolling games and the original castlevania was a bit boring and really not much fun to me. But with the second one for the NES they changed the game play completely. It becomes more of an adventure RPG then a side scrolling whip em up game. When I had this for my original system I got deep in the game and got stuck. I remember how frustrated I was since there was no internet at the time to look up a hint! Finally thanks to roms I have got to play this again and beat it this time (with out cheating I might add) You are simon in this quest trying to remove a curse good ol drac has put on you. So in this one you have to bring him back from the dead to destroy him again! You collect all of his different body parts that are scadered around. There is a day and a night and the fights are harder at night. This game is very fun. There is plenty to look for, and plenty of undead whippage to keep any one happy. If you are like me and did not like the original because it was too side scrolley, take hart this game is nothing like it. The fans of the original will still like this one I think, plus those that are more into the RPG genre. On the paully scale I give this great game 3.5 stars out of 4.3 Review by paully
