Cannon Fodder Developer: Sensible Software Publisher: Sensible Software Year: 1993 Rating: 9/10 Review: You're a frontline military commander charged with completing 23 missions, each split into a number of phases (levels). Before every phase you'll get phase objectives (usually "Destroy enemy buildings and kill all enemy soldiers") and a squad of soldiers. After the mission briefing, action begins behind enemy lines where your squad has been dropped. Then you just run through the map and shoot everything that moves (with unlimited ammunition, of course).
Controlling your squad is easy - all you need is a mouse - when you click the left button the squad walks where your
crosshair points, right button shoots and when you press both buttons at the same time your squad throws grenades or fires rockets.
You can also penetrate enemy positions with vehicles like tanks, helicopters and snowcats.
A nice part in the game is the soldiers who survive through a mission get promoted, and their weapons skills get better
(accuracy, range and rate of fire). This means that you'll need to be very protective with veteran soldiers that have been with you for a few missions.
